BandsAs we like to celebrate five years of spreading Swing joy and happiness, our Saturday party features not one band, but TWO!
This amazing band from Brussels is devoted to playing for dancers. They bring tunes by Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Fletcher Henderson, Chick Webb, Earl Hines and even Buddy Johnson. Reverent Juke plays the classics and some gems from the golden age of swing! They are also known for working some humour into their energetic sets.

Lester's Blues got their name from a bittersweet song by saxophonist Lester Young, arguably the greatest stylist that has been in jazz. Inspired by 1930's small band recordings of Count Basie and his alumni, Lester's Blues approach their music with their own style, vibe and effortless swing, and add a fresh and vigorous touch. The septet is modelled on some of Count Basie’s former bands: a four-piece rhythm section with piano and rhythm guitar, and three horns, composed of leading Belgian and Dutch seasoned jazz and swing players, each having earned their stripes through many years of gigging and practice. They will surely provide a stomping party!
